Founded in 2007 by Mrs. Jyoti Rathore, Akshara Group is committed to providing high‑quality education that prepares students for the challenges of the 21st century. The Group currently operates two schools in Pune:
- Akshara International School (AIS) — Launched in 2010 in Wakad, AIS is a co‑educational K–12 private school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. AIS offers a broad, future‑focused curriculum delivered by experienced faculty in a student‑centered environment.
- Akshara Vidyalay — Located in Jambhe on a 20‑acre campus, Akshara Vidyalay is a primary school serving students up to Grade 6. The campus includes a multi‑purpose indoor sports hall and an 8‑acre sports ground to support physical education and extracurricular activities.

Founder Mrs Jyoti Rathore
Mrs. Jyoti Rathore is founder of Akshara International School and Akshara Vidyalay
in Pune. She is an educationist and has been a member of NCERT Education Council,
New Delhi. She is an engineering graduate with management diploma who gave up
her professional IT career to set up Akshara educational institutions.
Akshara Vidyalay is her latest initiative to set up a school on the lines of New
Education Policy (NEP) 2020 which encourages activity and project based learning.
